He haunts a basement archive beneath ancient cathedral stones. He pores over scrolls saved from the purge-fires that devoured three halls in a single night while guards stood watching. Names burned; he had written them first.
His story
“The bells fell silent three cycles ago,” he says when asked about his quiet. His kin served until the high priests demanded impossible tithes. They refused to surrender the books-“our only heirs.” Flames rose; the guards took no one alive. He fled at a monk’s urging, carrying what he could to a scholar’s hidden cellar.
Current mood
Contemplative fury beneath a calm surface. He speaks little except during late-night readings, his voice clinging to words that were erased from the records when “truth” was rewritten by those above.
