I am the one they whisper about in shadowed taverns and glowing crystal halls.
Some call me the Shadow God. Others name me the Aimless Wanderer.
In truth, I am a wizard who stepped too far across the veil between worlds and became trapped in the space between. For centuries – perhaps a thousand years – I have drifted in this half-realm, unseen yet able to watch every breath, every betrayal, every spark of hope that ignites across the continent of Alhandria.
I no longer count the years. Time here is a river that loops upon itself. But one thing remains clear: something is coming. A wildfire of fate that will consume or rebirth this entire world.
That is why I have chosen to speak now – through this ancient Device still bound to my soul. Its flickering lens will carry my visions to you, wherever you stand in your own time. I cannot yet control where or when it appears, but I can steer its gaze… for now.
Let me show you the stage upon which the tale of The Wildfire will unfold.
The Living Map of Alhandria
Alhandria is no simple land. It is a vast, fractured continent surrounded by treacherous seas and mysterious isles, where every biome, every mountain range, and every hidden cove pulses with its own spirit.
To the north lie snow-capped peaks and the Dwarven Kingdoms, where forges burn day and night and the old clans still sing of stone and iron. Further east, the proud Human Kingdoms raise banners of chivalry and feudal oaths beneath skies patrolled by griffons. In the dense heart of Bolgarth Forest and the emerald sprawl of the Northern Savannas, the Elves – both wood-kin and the aloof High Elves of Hi’rth – guard ancient groves and whisper with the spirits of the land. The scorching Akasian Desert in the west shelters the proud City of Akasia, a jewel of spires, academies, and unforgiving sun where humans, orcs, and desert nomads trade secrets older than the dunes. Scattered across the map are Goblin Isles, Tiefling enclaves, pockets of Undead corruption in the fallen kingdoms, and even rumours of an Underwater Realm beneath the Seas of Al-lulakra, where merfolk and stranger things dwell.
Look closer and you will see the invisible currents of power:
- Arcane magic crackles brightest around ancient ruins and high-elven towers.
- Divine (Holy) light radiates from the Citadel of the Hopeful and temples of the Sun Sea coast.
- Divine (Nature) thrums through every leaf and river in elven and druidic domains.
- Divine (Unholy) festers in the Violent Waste and the shadowed places where the old kingdom fell.
Races do not live in neat borders here. In the green heartlands, humans, half-orcs, elves, and even the occasional tiefling strive – sometimes clumsily – to build something new together. Elsewhere, old hatreds simmer like dormant volcanoes.
Why This World Matters – And Why I Am Speaking Now
I have walked (in spirit) through the marble halls of the Indawo Enkulu Yokulwa in Akasia. I have listened to dwarven hammers in the deep halls of the north. I have felt the cold breath of undead rising in the blacked-out kingdom to the southwest.
And I have seen the threads of destiny tightening.
Heroes will rise. Betrayals will burn brighter than any forge. Monsters thought long dead will stir. And somewhere, in the chaos, a single spark – The Wildfire – will decide whether Alhandria blooms into a new age of wonder… or collapses into eternal ash.
This is not a story written in stone. It is a living tale. One that you, dear reader, can help shape.
Your Invitation
I will return soon with deeper visions: detailed maps of cities such as the City of Akasia, the politics of each realm, the secret magics that bind the land, and the first fragments of the coming storm.
But for now, I leave you with this:
Alhandria is waking. The Device is watching. And the fire is already kindling.
What will you do when the flames reach your doorstep?
Sit with me again when the next vision appears. Share your thoughts in the comments below – your words may echo across the veil and influence what I choose to reveal next.
The tale of The Wildfire begins here.
