The Charm of W’athi, the Small Forward Base and Harbour of Li’Lonthya

Estimated read time 3 min read

In the sprawling world of Li’Lonthya, a small but essential forward base stands tall as the main point of entry and trade from the western lands. This base is similar in purpose to Anothia, another important city in the region, and plays a vital role in controlling the entry of people and goods across the bay with a magical barrier between Anothia and W’athi.

Nestled on the coast of Li’Lonthya, this small forward base boasts a lovely harbour that welcomes visitors with abundant sea-life. As you approach the harbour, the gentle waves of the ocean lap against the shore, and the salty scent of the sea fills the air. Seals rest on the harbour walls, basking in the sun and occasionally diving into the water to hunt for their next meal. Meanwhile, seagulls fill the air, cawing and squawking as they wait for scraps from the fishmongers.

The Essential Role of the Forward Base in Trade and Security”

Despite its small size, this forward base is of great importance to the region. It serves as a critical trade hub, connecting the western lands with the rest of Li’Lonthya. Traders from distant lands bring exotic goods and merchandise to the base, where they can be sold to merchants from all over the region. In turn, the base exports locally produced goods, such as textiles, pottery, and wine, to far-off lands.

The importance of the forward base is not limited to trade alone. It also plays a crucial role in the security and defense of the region. The magical barrier between Anothia and W’athi is a prime example of this. The barrier ensures that only authorized individuals and goods can enter the region, preventing any potential threats from crossing the bay. The forward base also serves as a strategic military location, allowing the region to maintain a strong and stable defense against any potential invaders.

The Cultural and Entertainment Hub of the Coastal Region

Aside from its practical purposes, the forward base is also a hub of culture and entertainment. The bustling markets and streets of the base are filled with merchants, travelers, and locals alike, all mingling and exchanging stories and experiences. The base is also home to a wide variety of restaurants, taverns, and inns, each with their unique charm and atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to sample the local cuisine, enjoy a night out with friends, or just relax and enjoy the view of the harbour, the forward base has something for everyone.
